Tattoo you?

Tattoo's are something that always appealed to me - mostly on other people.

I'm not too worried about people seeing ink peeking from under my sleeves but I can be a bit fickle at times so I'm worried about having something so obvious and permanent.

Mates of mine have tattoos and they look great, even if one of them had 'crazy man' accidentally tattooed in Hebrew instead of 'good guy' (meshugena instead of mensch, I think..). I would like someday to have a tattoo done, and I'm sure it is like getting your first kiss or losing your virginity - it becomes less of an issue after you have the first one :)

For now my sleeves hide bare arms, nary a tattoo in sight.

One thing I was considering since I first saw some of the best examples of it - scarification.

I'm not talking about the big keloids you see on African tribesmen  (although they do look cool) I'm talking about amazing work that looks like someone left impressions on your skin with a fine nibbed pen.

I'll dig up some examples that I have seen - beautiful stuff.

Its tactile too, not jut flat like a tattoo. I would say it is damn painful but what the hey, you gotta suffer for beauty sometimes!
