Killer caught through blog entry
A young man and his sister were robbed and murdered by the girls ex boyfriend.
The guy was caught because the brother made this blog entry shortly before he died.

The murder itself is brutal and shocking but made more so by the banality of the entry. The realisation that the young man was just persuing an ordinary day.
That banality highlights the brutality of the murderer - you wonder how he managed to do it, realise that he would have had to dehumanise his targets (remember the girl was his ex) greeting them, bantering, dropping hints about what he wanted and finally forcing himself to become enraged and following that line of thought becomes impossible for us.
